About Pastor JO Burns
Pastor J. O. Burns is a fourth generation Church of God in Christ preacher. Born on the predestined day of December 17, 1966, he is the grandson of Pastor Thomas Burns, the great grandson of late Pastor Eddie Burns and son of First Lady and evangelist Esther Burns Pullings. He began his discipleship and ministry in South Jamaica Queens, New York as early as God would have it, and was about his Father's business by age 19. Pastor Burns is a follower of the gospel and a devout believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pastor Burns kept his divine appointment as led by the Holy Spirit from the streets of New York to Long Beach, California, where he met and married the now First Lady Nicole Burns in May 2003. Together Pastor and Mrs. Burns founded The Word Center Church of God in Christ in June of 2004. Pastor Burns has been blessed with two wonderful children. Sacha Burns Arnell, age 25 and most recently a son, J. O. Burns II age 6
Pastor Burns is graduate of O. M. Kelly Bible Institute and the Interdenominational Theological Seminary New York Ext. He continues to press towards the mark of the higher calling in Christ Jesus and is truly dedicated to doing the will of God.
